Tobacco Road

One thing about being out in the country as oppose to at my apartment in the city is that I can just walk out the front door and take a walk down the street. Or hang out bareass in the front or the back or on my roof if I wanted to!

Some of these photos are my favorite. I love the old Virginia Tobacco Barn that is the backdrop in some of these. These barns are crumbling into oblivion here in Virginia and nearby North Carolina as each year passes.

The Quiet and Cool of the Woods

Once in a while it is great to get out of the rat race and deep into the woods, especially on a hot southern day. There is something about the absolute quiet, maybe a bird call here and there and the cool shade of a wooded area that really helps to keep the heat at bay.

Day Off and Nude Chilling

HOT DAY! Naked at the River

Hot Day! Headed out early this morning to the river again. I was going to do some hiking up towards the Buck Mountain area but the temps were too much against me for the steep uphill trek.

Enjoyed a beautiful early morning nude walk through the woods and out towards the Roanoke River this time about a half mile from where I shot last week's photos. I found a nice spot and set up "camp". When I go to these locations, I love the quiet. All around me I can here various critters. Again the river was still and every once in awhile I heard the splash of some fish breaking the stillness of the water. As mid morning approached it became very hot. It became very necessary to cooled off by taking a long enjoyable skinny dip in the river.

By noon the temps were already in the mid 90s and even though the hot sun was somewhat filtered by the trees around me I had to get out of the heat. Even in the shaded woods and being nude I was perspiring profusely on my hike back to my car. I hated to cut my outing short for I really felt like being out of doors today after a hard week at work.

I need to check out some potential spots up north of here at some high elevations along the Blue Ridge Parkway and also into West Virginia. I was at one spot a few weeks ago and the temps were 18 degrees cooler than in the city. Unfortunately too many tourists around for me to get bare. No matter, I persist and will keep finding great locations for nude out of door relaxation.

Fantastic Mid Summer's Day

Fantastic mid summer's day here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia! What better way than to spend my morning in a secluded spot naked as the Good Lord made me. These photos were taken along the Roanoke River at a secluded spot called Rutrough Point, population zero! On summer days such as today, I like to pack a breakfast picnic and find some beautiful place in nature to strip down and be nude. Being naked in the out of doors makes me feel right at home with all the critters which were keeping me company. Many beautiful butterflies, bumble and honey bees, birds in song and even saw a copperhead snake, but he didn't pay me any mind and went along his way. Can't wait to retire in a few years to have more time to enjoy moments like this.

A Nice Secluded Spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Found a nice secluded spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy my morning coffee and meditation in the nude. From an overlook followed a trail and then took a small trail to this serene wooded area. On a hot day I found some relief in the cool woods. This spot was near mile marker 123 near Buck Mountain. It is a shame that one has to work hard to find secluded spots to enjoy nudity. Over time I will find more beautiful outdoor places and will gladly share my photos with you. I would love to hear from you fellow nudists, male or female, it is a great lifestyle eh?

Senior Nudists

Senior nudists are like other seniors, but without clothes. At least some of the time. The rest of the time we wear clothes, just like everyone else. Which means you may know a few without realizing it. Think about that for a minute or two.

Nudist such as myself strive to our nudist lifestyle as much as it practically possible. Everyday things, like having a job in the clothed world, and other certain obligations tend to interfere. But even so like so many other things in life we work around the restrictions. At home I am nude 24/7, even in the chilly winter months. Fortunately I am a nature lover and enjoy being out doors in many beautiful secluded spots where I can enjoy being nude. Naturally the colder winter months can get in the way of that but there are even times on a beautiful sunny winter’s day I find it invigorating to strip down with the snow and ice all around me. Brrrr.. Shrinkage? Sure but who cares! LOL.

If you mention nudists to most people, a vision of senior nudists is not what comes to mind. However, seniors have become the largest segment of the nudist population. As the people practicing nudity have aged, the younger replacements have been few. For whatever reason, they do not seem to be as interested in pursuing this activity.

If you are interested, there are several organizations to help get you started, whatever your age. All of the ones I list below have their own websites.

The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) publishes The North American Guide to Nude Recreation, which has some 240 pages. It lists places and includes tips for first-time visitors. It will help you take your first nakation.

The Naturist Society (TNS) has members in the United States and Canada. It produces the quarterly Nude & Natural magazine and has a naturist network.

Trade Association for Nude Recreation (TANR) (get it?) is a network of clubs, resorts, parks, campgrounds, cruises, travel agencies, publishers and other affiliated enterprises who agree that nude is natural. There is a free online newsletter subscription.

ClothesFree International features ClothesFree TV with nudes in the news. No, you won’t get it from your local cable provider. You can view the shows at their website or on your phone. Pick your favorite nudecaster.

Senior nudists and others can subscribe to Naturally magazine and Going Natural magazine.
